STAINLESS STEEL TYPE - 304
Probably the most versatile of the Stainless Category is an Austenitic
T-304 or also known as 18-8. Consisting of 18% Chromium and 8% Nickel
gives this Stainless Product a wide range of uses where corrosion
resistance and clean surface requirements come into play.
TYPE 304L ( LOW CARBON)
THIS ALLOY IS 20% CHROMIUM AND 10.5% NICEL WITH A MAX OF .03% CARBON.
THIS ALLOY IS LESS SUSCEPTIBLE TO CORROSION IN AREAS WHERE IT HAS BEEN WELDED.
WE NORMALLY USE THIS ALLOY FOR COUNTER TOPS AND SINKS IN LAB OR CLEAN ROOM
CONDITIONSWHERE A COUNTER TOP MUST BE JOINED IN THE FIELD FOR EASE
OF INSTALLATION.
